The Miku is known as the genius of all baby monitors and for good reason. It is a stylish and sleek wifi monitor that does it all from reading the temperature and humidity in the room to tracking baby’s breathing and movement patterns.

Monitors have come a long way from when I was a baby and my parents used the one way radio to hear into my nursery. With Miku’s wifi technology, not only do we get a beautiful HD picture but we see everything right from our smartphones. Even the night vision picture quality is excellent.
On top of monitoring baby’s sound and movements, another really unique and advanced feature is the devices ability to track the baby’s breathing patterns. If you’re a parent, I’m sure you have had the urge to check on your little one to see if their still breathing. Their tiny chest movements are so hard to see at times which can get any new mom or dad worried and running into take a closer look. As a second time parent, I’m a little less frantic this time around but it’s nice to have that piece of mind.
From the app you see the live camera view as well as the baby’s current activity with everything from baby’s movement to breathing patterns. We get push notifications sent to our phone when baby is fussing or anything is out of the ordinary including temperature and humidity in the room. It has no distance limit and can be viewed anywhere in the world! You can also record precious moments ans save photos and videos which are automatically stored via cloud for 30 days at no extra charge.
Another cool feature that we love is the ability to play white noise and lullabies for your baby right from the app. The sound quality is excellent.
The Miku was pretty easy to install (according to my husband) and the app was a breeze to download and set up. The only thing that took awhile was downloading the firmware with the most updated version of the app which is done automatically as part of the app setup. Keep in mind that anyone watching baby such as family, babysitters etc.. will have to download the app as well.
The device gets mounted right above the crib which gives the perfect birds eye view of baby. I love this because our last monitor was hooked onto the side of the crib which didn’t give us a great view of the entire crib. As our daughter got older, she would grab the monitor and rip it off. We often would lose sight or her and would then have to sneak in and try to adjust the position of the camera in hopes of not waking her up in the process. You can also set the Miku camera on any flat surface such as a shelf if you’d prefer not to mount it.
The Miku is a little on the or pricey side. However, when you compare this product to other top of the line monitors on the market with comparable features, it’s fairly priced. I personally think it’s worth the investment considering everything you get.
All in all, after testing it out we are very satisfied with the Miku baby monitor and can’t wait to start using it daily when our youngest is finally sleeping in her nursery at night. We have tested it out over the last week during nap times and we absolutely love it. If you’re interested in the Miku you can purchase it on Amazon. I highly recommend it and give it a 5 star rating!
